New Year, Now You with SheKnows

A lot of us struggle with the notion of ‘having it all’ - being caring moms for our children while also following our own dreams and carving out space for personal growth. I’m always the first to say that a perfect balance doesn’t exist, but that doesn’t mean you can’t create a life that is filled with intention. One that allows you to care for others while also caring for yourself in the process!

I joined SheKnows for SK Conversation: New Year, Now You alongside Brooke Burke, Eve Rodsky, and Keya Nkonoki. Together, we shared what self care looks like for us in 2021 plus some of the common misconceptions that surround self care in general.

SheKnows is an inclusive community for parents that recognizes the challenges that come with living a full, vibrant mom-life while also acknowledging the good stuff. Be sure to check them out!

I’m hopeful our conversation offers you some really helpful tips for creating space in your life for essential moments of self care. Here’s a quick guide to those tips and what you can expect to hear us discussing when you hit PLAY:

  1. Say no

  2. Give yourself permission

  3. Don’t overthink it

  4. Prioritize a self care routing

  5. Remember you’re not alone

  6. Relish in small victories
