May is Mental Health Awareness Month and a time to draw attention to and reduce the stigma so many experience living with mental or behavioral health issues. Did you know nearly 450 million people worldwide are currently living with a mental illness? (World Health Organization) Yet nearly two-thirds of these individuals never seek treatment.
A topic that for so long has been taboo to speak about is at the forefront of health issues that need to be addressed and is such an essential part of our everyday wellbeing. A subject matter we are deeply passionate about, we are eager to continue to create a safe space with useful tools and resources to help advance the good health for all.
As I so often say, cultivating mental wellness is a commitment. My new challenge is a wonderful opportunity to introduce positive practices that can be weaved into your daily lives in May and beyond! Our goal is to create intention around your mental well-being, and how even the smallest acts can truly transform your health and wellness. The first step? Commit to the challenge!
