Embracing the Journey and Rediscovering Your Why With Bene

BE WELL

Celebrating Change and the Beauty of New Beginnings

Have you ever felt the need to make a big change or essentially “rebrand” your life? In the hustle and bustle of daily living, it can be difficult to carve out time for the mindfulness it requires to pinpoint moments along our journeys where it’s clearly time to hit that refresh button. If you do carve out that time, how can you then stay focused on the small, achievable steps it will take to make that change rather than allowing yourself to become overwhelmed by the bigger picture?

Embracing the Journey: Rediscover Your Why with Bene

I’m no stranger to pivots. I’m a mom of three small children, a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT),  I host the Do Tell! Relationship Podcast, and I’m currently managing the total relaunch of my health and wellness platform, Bene by Nina. Pivots can be equally scary and exhilarating because you’re charting new territory. My journey has presented many welcome changes (and a few challenging ones), and I can confidently say that I’ve learned quite a lot about myself and others along the way!

The reality is that any big step you take, any new chapter you begin, or new path you forge is likely going to be accompanied by some level of stress or potentially feelings of being overwhelmed. All of this is a very human response because, as human beings, we relish structure. Changes both big and small can feel scary. My tips? Focus on taking small steps, celebrate your daily wins, and be patient with yourself. Instead of constantly keeping your sights set on what you hope lies ahead, take a step back to reflect on how far you’ve already come. This can be an incredibly empowering exercise and it can also help reconnect you to your why

Bene was borne from the idea that I wanted to address the stigma around mental health while providing useful resources to all people on their unique wellness journeys. Today, Bene is still all of those things, but it has also grown to be the most spectacular community that I’m so happy to be a part of. The journey that brought me where I am today has encouraged me to shift my perspective, as I lean into gratitude for my growth and for all of the valuable lessons I’ve learned.

As you build yourself into the person you want to be for the people you care about most, including you, I hope Bene will be for you what it has been for me: a mirror.

Cultivating Connection

If you’re new to the Bene community, we’re going through a major rebrand and one element I’m so excited about is the many meaningful ways we will now be able to connect with one another. Whether you’re a long-time member of our community or a newcomer finding your footing, know that you are welcome here. This space is yours as much as it is mine – a place where we can learn, grow, and thrive together.

For me, this rebrand represents not just a digital update, but a commitment to building a vibrant community, a sanctuary where we can gather, share, and uplift one another. It’s about forging deeper connections, weaving together the threads of our diverse experiences into a resource that is full of wisdom and insight. My hope is that my experiences, challenges, and triumphs that have shaped me along the way, can be collectively found here to help serve as a resource for you.

When I reflected on how far Bene has come, as well as me stepping out of my comfort zone, I started wondering about how all of you have been doing so far this year. With the fast pace of my life between work and family, I know firsthand how easy it is to start feeling overwhelmed. To whoever may be reading this – take a deep breath. With all of the pressures we put on ourselves, it can feel like our minds and bodies are in a constant state of anxiety. Let it all go.

I encourage you to enjoy the moments you are currently in. When you create moments of mindfulness and maintain your focus on moving a pebble a day as opposed to the entire mountain, you’ll find your power.

I hope you know that being able to identify things you want to accomplish or change is already a huge step in the right direction because you’re being honest with yourself and approaching change with a growth mindset. Start over or “rebrand” as many times as you need to. But while you’re working towards whatever that rebrand is, be sure that you’re being as kind and gracious to yourself as you would be to others.

As we navigate these “rebrands” and the natural twists and turns of life, let’s remember how powerful it can be to simply take a moment, say something kind to ourselves, and embrace all of the change that may be happening around us.. Whether it’s challenging our comfort zones or finding gratitude in our growth, let’s commit to supporting one another along this journey.

And, until next time, remember to breathe, embrace the journey, cultivate connection, and keep shining bright.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
