Eating Clean: Nina’s Cocoa For Cashews Smoothie

You know those mornings when everything feels like pure chaos? It can be difficult enough to wake everyone up, get dressed, and get out the door, which means sitting down to a nutritious breakfast often isn’t in the stars.

My solution for mornings on the go? Smoothies! Loaded with nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables, smoothies serve up a massive dose of fiber and they’re the perfect way to fuel up when you’re short on time.

Today, I’m sharing the recipe for one of my very favorite smoothies – Cocoa for Cashews!

COCOA FOR CASHEWS SMOOTHIE

You will need a blender for this recipe, and you can shop one of my favorites here.

Servings: 2 

Ingredients:

1/3 c. Oats
1 tbsp. Flax Seed
3/4 c. Almond Milk
1/4 tsp. Himalayan Salt
1/4 c. Cacao Nibs
2 Bananas
1 tbsp. Agave
3 tbsp. Cashew Butter
1 c. Ice

Directions:

Pour all of the ingredients into your blender, blend until smooth, and get on with your day! 

Note: This smoothie won’t get completely smooth and that’s actually my favorite part about it. Those little cacao nibs don’t break down completely, which means you’ll find delicious little treats sprinkled throughout your smoothie.
